The majority of cases of hip dysplasia (DDH) can be successfully treated by a Pavlik harness which is our preferred method of treatment. A full screening, ultrasound and treatment service is available. Ultrasounds are carried out in the Portland imaging department by paediatric radiologists. We keep Pavlik harnesses in stock for immediate availability. Our usual regime for harness treatment is for Mr Hill to review the patient every three weeks with an ultrasound scan carried out just prior to the appointment with a harness check by the physiotherapist in between appointments.
