UK Fee schedule (from 1st April 2013 and subject to revision)
New appointment: £250
Follow up appointment: £150
Emergency out of hours consultation (in patient) £300

Payment by Credit card, cash or cheque drawn on UK banks are accepted.

Our fees are collected by a billing company - MBC - who will contact you or your insurance company with the invoice after the Consultation. We set the fees and have agreed fee levels with most UK Private Medical Insurance Companies. We prefer to deal directly with the Insurance Companies which is why we request your membership number and authorisation number. If you are self pay MBC will offer you options to settle the account.

Embassy or Company sponsored patients must provide a letter of guarantee in advance of the appointment taking place.

Tests and X-rays are charged separately by the hospital.

Fees and Shortfalls.

A shortfall is when your Insurer does not fully meet the fee charged by the Consultant and you are liable for the difference. For Surgery we usually provide you with both an operation code and an estimate so you can check with your Insurance Company. Fees will depend on complexity and Insurance schedules do not always take this into account and we will endeavour to agree a fee on an individual basis with Insurance Companies when this is likely to occur.

Simple UK cases are usually charged within most Insurance Company Schedules but patients insured with Pru Health and Simply Health are particularly advised to check there will be no shortfall.

Please note that Anaesthetists fees for surgery are charged separately and will be invoiced separately by the Anaesthetist. We will endeavor to obtain an estimate on your behalf prior to surgery.
